Our General Policy
Thank you for visiting my website. I recognize the importance of protecting information I may collect from visitors to my site and I encourage you to take the time to read the full Privacy Statement. Visitors include any and all persons and organizations that visit the website, regardless of whether the visitor inputs their contact information to be on my mailing list (collectively referred to as “you” and derivatives thereof). This Privacy Statement explains how I collect, use, and disclose information that can identify you (“Personal Information”) when you visit my author's website (the “Site”).

What is Personal Information?
Personal Information is any information that can be used to identify an individual or is linkable to an individual. This can include, but is not limited to the following: first and last name, physical address, phone number, social security number, username that is used across different websites or used as online contact information, date of birth, e-mail address, credit card information, gender, geolocation, and IP address.
 
Certain information is NOT Personal Information (“Non-Personal Information”) since it cannot be used to identify or locate an individual. Non-Personal Information includes browser type, device type, referring site, and language type.
 
How do I collect Personal Information?
Certain information, some of which may be Personal Information, is automatically conveyed by your browsers, such as your IP address, operating system, pages visited, cookie data, and type of computer you’re using. Much of this automatically-collected information is gathered from the usage of cookies. A “cookie” is a small string of text that a web site can send to your browser. A cookie cannot retrieve any other data from your hard drive, pass on computer viruses, or capture your e-mail address. Cookies help me understand which parts of the Site is the most popular, where our visitors are going, and how long they spend there. I may use cookies to analyze traffic patterns so I can improve the site. It is possible to set your browser to inform you when a cookie is being placed - then you have the opportunity to decide whether to accept the cookie.
 
If you choose to enlist in my electronic newsletter, certain Personal Information is necessary to collect, such as your e-mail address.
 
 
What do I do with Personal Information?
I may use the information I acquire from visitors to our sites for internal purposes and I maintain appropriate security measures to keep this information private. For example, I will use the email address you provided to communicate with you and send a newsletter unless and until you unsubscribe from this newsletter.
 
I will never sell or otherwise distribute your personally identifiable information unless anonymized and no longer linkable to you. I may share your information with unrelated third parties where it is necessary to provide you the electronic newsletter or for marketing purposes. For example, I may need to share information with a server provider. Whenever I make these necessary releases of Personal Information, we require that the third party abides by the same standards as us.
 
Users should be aware that there are certain very limited situations in which I may be required to release your Personal Information for the following reasons: (i) to comply with a law, regulation, court order, governmental request, or other legal processes, and (ii)  to protect rights, property, the safety of me.
 
I take precautions to keep your information secure. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the appropriate use of information, I have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information I collect.

Where applicable law requires (and subject to any relevant exceptions under law), you may have the right to access, update, change or delete Personal Information.
 
If you requested to receive communications and later changed your mind, you can cancel the communication at any time by clicking on the link contained in the e-mail.
 
I retain Personal Information in order to comply with the law, protect my and others’ rights, or resolve disputes, to the extent permitted under applicable law.
