I set up a Google Alerts for the terms “Camino de Santiago” hoping to learn more about the “Way of Saint James,” an experience I look forward to having.
Sadly, the first result of the term was a link to Legacy.com, a website used to post obituaries. I read the obituary of a wonderful woman described as a person on a spiritual journey with a long-term goal to walk the pilgrimage Camino de Santiago. She appeared to be a good woman, working with seniors at retirement homes. She loved playing music in high school, her church, and later in jazz clubs.
She passed away “peacefully and unexpectedly” on March 5, 2021, at age 51.
I did not know this person, yet tears welled up as I read her story and again realized how short life is for some. How many leave before fulfilling a dream?
Take steps to follow your dream. Don’t let life get in your way for life is too short.
These are my thoughts. Comments welcomed.
